1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the ESOT Digital Platform, applying for society membership, enrolling in accredited scientific events, or downloading digital CME certificates, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and the society constitution.
2. Membership Criteria & Ethical Conduct
Membership in ESOT is reserved for certified orthopedic surgeons, traumatologists, surgical residents, and affiliated medical practitioners holding valid licenses in Ethiopia or internationally. All members are expected to adhere to high standards of surgical ethics, patient safety, and continuing professional development.
3. Gate Passes & Cryptographic Certificates
Digital gate passes and QR tokens issued by ESOT are cryptographically signed with HMAC-SHA256 and non-transferable. Attempting to forge, tamper with, or duplicate passes for unauthorized conference admission is strictly prohibited and constitutes grounds for immediate membership revocation.
4. Event Registration & Payments
Registration fees for annual conferences, workshops, and cadaver labs may be paid via Chapa (Telebirr, CBE Birr, cards) or confirmed via official bank transfer to the ESOT CBE Account (1000006789123). Registration is non-refundable within 7 days of the event opening date unless the conference is cancelled by the society.
5. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and professional regulations established by the Ministry of Health (MoH) and Ethiopian Medical Association (EMA).
